Stairwell and the Bedroom Gallery
This stairwell brings about a spectacular effect stemming from the contrast between the weight of the marble and the lightness of the construction without any central supports. Referred to as the stairwell of honour at the time when the palace was inhabited, this highlighted the special moment when the ladies, stunning in their jewels after their evening toilettes, would descend for dinner as was the practice among the British elite.
On the upper floor, there are the former bedrooms, laid out along the gallery and that today houses the palace interpretation area.
