This was the first lawn planted in Portugal and covers a notable expanse and a surface with a dual curve that required a creative system of irrigation. At the foot, alongside the lake, there is a large Norfolk Araucaria. This is the tallest tree in the garden, now reaching up over 50 metres in height.
