A notable collection of arboreal ferns, an exotic species sourced from Australia and New Zealand and greatly appreciated in 19th century Europe. In order to guarantee the ideal outdoor growing conditions for these rare examples, they were planted in a northwest facing valley especially exposed to the prevailing moist winds from the coast.
