The Stag Room, where banquets were held, was a common feature in Germanic romantic castles and evoked one of the activities exclusive to the nobility: hunting. Hunting explains the use of this room as a place for banquets and is similarly referenced in the stags heads on display here, made out of plaster but with genuine antlers.
