Restrictions in the morning of 9 October 2024
We inform our visitors that on the morning of 9 October 2024, the Park and National Palace of Pena and the Moorish Castle will have restricted access for safety reasons due to adverse weather conditions.
These restrictions follow recommendations from Sintra Civil Protection and are as follows:
- PALACE OF PENA – Access to the Arches Courtyard and the Wall Walk is prohibited.
- PARK OF PENA – Access is limited to the direct path to the palace. Entry is only permitted through the park’s main gate. The ticket offices at the Chalet of the Countess of Edla and the Lakes are open for information only.
- MOORISH CASTLE – Access to the walls is prohibited.
The situation is being closely monitored, and restrictions will be lifted as soon as there is a significant improvement in the weather conditions and the restoration of safety conditions.
The remaining monuments will remain open during this period, with no changes to their usual operation.
