    Sintra Palace Treasure Hunt

    It’s a fun, innovative way of visiting the National Palace of Sintra. Sintra Palace Treasure Hunt, a free game designed specially for a young audience, combines entertainment and learning.

    In this virtual treasure hunt using augmented reality, players can discover the 9 treasures hidden along the course of the tour and read content about the history of the National Palace of Sintra, presented by the character of King Manuel I. At the end of the game, you can pick your prize at the store or the ticket office of the Palace.

    The app was developed by Polish startup Slavic Monsters and Parques de Sintra. This partnership emerged in 2019 as part of the international collaborative innovation programme ‘The Journey 3.0 – Global Tourism Innovators’.

    How to use

    1. Smartphone users must access their digital store and locate the app by searching 'Sintra Palace Treasure Hunt';

    2. Download the free app;

    3. Follow the rules of the game: point your smartphone at various objects along the visit circuit and try to discover the hidden treasures.

    4. At the end of the game, after discovering all the treasures, you can pick your prize at the store or the ticket office of the palace.
