Muses of the Seicento - Discovering the feminine sole
The Ensemble Gli Accenti offers a journey to discover the feminine soul, through the interpretation of works composed by women in the 17th century.
The concert will take place at the Music Room of the National Palace of Queluz and will focus on composers Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Isabella Leonarda and Barbara Strozzi - names little known to the general public, that are starting to gain more and more notoriety.
This concert is part of the international colloquium "Women and Music in the Modern Period", organized by the Centro de Estudos Musicais Setecentistas Portugueses (CEMSP), which will take place at the National Palace of Queluz from 2nd to 4th of July.
