30 initiatives aimed at the under-30s (more or less...) to celebrate another 30 years (in this case really 30, no more, no less). Confused? Let us explain.

Throughout the year, the SintraPH30 programme will organise 30 initiatives for young people in celebration of the 30th anniversary of UNESCO's classification of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra as a World Heritage Site, which will take place on 6 December 2025.

Throughout 2025, the programme will bring never-before-seen initiatives to the monuments, divided under three themes: ‘Heritage Sports’, with heritage scavenger hunts, orienteering competitions, geo-caching, mountain biking, hiking and running, for true immersion in Sintra's natural context; ‘Odd Heritage’, with an Escape Room, Murder Mystery and Ghost Tour in some of Sintra's most emblematic monuments; and, finally, ‘Open Heritage’, with behind-the-scenes or open visits to ongoing conservation and restoration work. Specific activities for schools, competitions and talks dedicated to heritage will be held in parallel.

These celebrations will culminate in December 2025 with the SintraPH30 Festival. More information about this great event coming soon.
