Description
The emblematic Chalet of the Countess of Edla reveals another part of the life of the Artist King, who lived here with his second wife. From room to room, with the help of the couple's personal objects, the story of the construction and reconstruction of this unique building - which, in 1999, was ruined by a fire - is told. Outside, explore the surrounding garden in its context as a Romantic Landscape but also in its importance as a natural heritage where the native trees of the Sintra Hills and the exotic collections commissioned by the King coexist in harmony.
