Perico Sambeat is one of the most acclaimed Spanish saxophonists in the world, with a career that has seen him take part in international festivals and programmes and record more than twenty albums under his own name, as well as collaborating on albums by some of today's most relevant musicians, including artists such as Dave Douglas, Ron Carter, Michael Brecker and Bernardo Sassetti.

At this concert, he will be accompanied by a trio of Portuguese jazz musicians - João Pedro Coelho, Romeu Tristão and Bruno Pedroso -, and it will be with them that he will explore music entirely of his own creation. We will have the unique opportunity to see how jazz tracks can gain new life with different bands from those that initially record them, and how musicians interact musically on stage to find a special sound with a perfect balance between energy and melodic clarity.

Musicians

  • Perico Sambeat (alto saxophone)
  • João Pedro Coelho (piano)
  • Romeu Tristão (double bass)
