Staged visit "In the Palace of Sintra with the Queen" with increased number of scheduled sessions

As the staged visit "In the Palace of Sintra with the Queen" has seen growing demand from the public, Parques de Sintra has increased the number of scheduled sessions, making this part of its programme more regular. As a result, at least two dates are now available each month on weekends, usually Saturdays.

"In Sintra Palace with the Queen" is the result of a partnership between Parques de Sintra and Coolture Tours and offers a different way of getting to know Portugal's oldest palace. In this staged visit, Queen Maria Pia of Savoy, the last monarch to inhabit the Royal Palace of Sintra before the Implantation of the Republic, welcomes participants as her special guests and shows them ‘her’ Palace. Along the way, this unforgettable figure recounts stories, legends and mysteries, allowing visitors to learn a little more about the history of Portugal and Sintra in the latter half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.

The activity, which is also available to schools and Senior Universities, has sessions scheduled for families on the following dates, always beginning at 11.00 a.m:

July: 13, 20 and 27

August: 10, 17, 24 and 31

September: 14, 21 and 28

October: 12 and 27

November: 9 and 23
