Parques de Sintra-Monte da Lua (PSML) is the managing body of the main natural, architectural and museological values of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra-World Heritage, as well as the National Palace of Queluz and the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. It is run by a Board of Directors formed of three executive members. It does not receive contributions from the State Budget, depending entirely on income from ticket sales, shops, cafeterias and rental of event spaces, applying, whenever possible, for investment from national and European funds
Strategy for the sustainability of the heritage and the economic sustainability of the company
- Create new points of tourist interest through the recovery, restoration and maintenance of the managed heritage and thus attract more visitors and greater income;
- Create a broad range of tourist products related to its parks, palaces and monuments;
- Offer improved visitor services;
- Inform and communicate, paying particular attention to the use of the most up-to-date information and communication technologies;
- Monitor visitor satisfaction;
- Protect the Cultural Landscape of Sintra;
- Develop adequate maintenance policies.
